Party Hopping in Manila
Drifting along in Asia and after getting tired of the scene in Bangkok I ended up in Manila as I wanted to see something different. And indeed it was different, a sort of Central American country hidden in South East Asia (you will feel the Latin wibes when you are here) but with a definite touch of Asian culture, very interesting indeed. Being Gay, a fan of wild party nights and an admirer of young Asian Men I decided to make the best out of the one day and one night day I had in this large and rather chaotic city. Much could be written about the city itself but I will instead concentrate a bit on the party scene that I was about to see during my one night weekend visit. I was happy to have a “local’ guide , otherwise I would never had found my way around. Manila is huge! It’s a mega metropolis so you just don’t go out and take a walk in the city and hope you will find some nice places as you’re bound to get lost!
1. Friday and Saturday is the best time to Party. Most gay clubs ( Opens around 10 PM but the crowd usually

BED is the Gay institution of Manila. "Chic and Stylish newly renovated dance club. Very packed on fridays and saturdays with locals and expats. There is a drag show every saturday and go go boys every friday. From time to time they invite internationla dj's. Out standing music and spectacular lighting.
I love Bed crowd, Manila’s Yuppies between 23 to 35 yrs old well dress fashionista, Great place to hunt exceptionally good looking party boys.
The waiters are very charming, friendly and attentive, service is fast except during Saturdays where there are a lots of customer. I would recommend for you to go to the bar and order your drink rather than ask the waiters on the floor. It takes alot of time.
The party atmosphere is AWESOME, this is one of the MUST see GAY place once your in Manila. Funky dj’s, ultra cool music, smashing cocktail mixs and YES Manila’s hottest and great looking crowd. oh Fridays and Saturday are super pack.
The place has okay interior. Got there around 11:30, thin crowd but got busy a little later. I am not crazy about the ledges occupying half of the dance floor. There's no place to dance. A couple of hot dancers. The place gets really smokey after a while and will burn your eyes!

Nice and friendly waiters but service gets slow during Fridays and Saturdays
Small Dance Floor, lots of laser effects, very intimate from time to time, once it gets crowded party really kick-start. They play the best gay hits but very poor sound system. Sometimes they have a drag show.
Entrance is P 150.00 to 200.00 cant remember ( friday & Saturday ) comes with free drinks. 3 stabs you get 3 beers.
If you order a cocktail dont have high expectation quality comes with a price.
Nice looking crowd mostly within 18 to 26 yrs old. Watch out for pick pocketers. I lost my phone last time I suspected that one of the beggars ( children ) stole it from my bag.
Nice Place to sit outside, watch people and chat with your friends
Comment: Despite of the rainy weather we still try our way to go to Malate, went to BED it was pack with party goers,had some cosmo, met some old friends. At 3am BED closes so we went to O Bar it was pack but the airconditioning was not working so its like a sauna party. The guys are half naked, it was fun at first but when perspiring boys rub you in all direction it was too sleasy already though I wont mind if there handsome but there not hihihi :)

Comment: First time to go there, and it was an accident because there was 2 suspicious guys following me so I went inside. Drink a couple of beers and mingle with the crowd. The place is ok and the bouncers and waiters who are friendly and the DJ choice of music and how he mixed the sounds are good. The funny thing is the 2 guys are gays that I met inside. They are nice, and just want to meet me and I said It's my pleasure :)

Comment: I order baileys, its my fave drink and I know how it taste like, turns out that this bar cheats on drinks the Baileys I got is not even a Baileys, the liquids is like chocolate powder mixed with vodka. Dude baileys is a alchohol with a consistency of a liquer meaning " malapot " the one i got is a milo with vodka Helloooo ! I complain but they show me the bottle Baileys yeah right you canjust mix the milo add vodka and put it back at the bottle. O bar serves real baileys!!!

Comment: This places cheated on me, first I pay 500 pesos for 2 person then they give us the stab and we went in, then I realized that the doorman didn't give us the change its like 150 per person so I still have like 200 for a change s I went back but they said change was given, i really remember that i have all 500 bills in my wallet since i just withdraw from the bank but I cannot see any 200 bill on it, not big amount but the idea that they are not honest just turns me off.

This is so far from the mainstream gay area.around 15 mins walk on the other side of taft avenue near the Epitome sauna. They have some events from time to time but not very busy.Lat time I attended a Macho show event goodlooking models but the crowd in the bar are a bit oldies not for cruising boys like me. :)

Comment: I and my friends use to hung out in Malate and Timog especially during weekends,its only an accident when I encounter the Gay bar name Planet Xanadu thru my friends yahoo groups.its takes many hours for us to search this gay bar,and finally we find it thru the outskirt of Scout triangle,The place is cozy,classy and all the managers accept us warmly,and most of all they have many good looking macho dancers and group dancers which they call it GPX,I met here the guy that makes my heart pound,last 4th of July 2010,and he become my lover,but he feel reluctant on me now,when I didnt attend our monthsay which is the 4th of September 2010,its my fist time in my life to enter the gay bar ,that macho dancers treat us because were a human no ATM machice,I wish I could always be young forever to attend monthsary,anyway,the bar is located at 6 Borromeo street.South Triangle,QC.
